Across South Africa, applicants are finding the national computerised learner’s licence testing system challenging.

A new learner’s licence study manual is now available to help them prepare with confidence.

Drakenstein Municipality is proud to be the first municipality in the Western Cape to receive the user-friendly printed study guide from the Provincial Government on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.

The three-part study guide will be available at Drakenstein Municipality’s libraries and is also available online by clicking on the following links:

The computerised learner’s licence test consists of 64 questions covering the rules of the road, road signs and vehicle controls. Results are issued immediately and successful applicants receive their learner’s licence after payment.
