Multi-award-winning French director, Jean-Jacques Annaud’s, NOTRE DAME ON FIRE, distributed in South Africa by Videovision Entertainment, will premiere on M-Net Movies 1 (Channel 104 on DSTV) at 14h00 on Friday, 14 July to coincide with the French National Day, popularly referred to as Bastille Day.
NOTRE DAME ON FIRE is an immersive narrative with firefighters at the heart of the action. The film offers a blow-by-blow recreation of the gripping events that took place on April 15, 2019, when the Notre Dame cathedral suffered the biggest blaze in its history. The film retraces how heroic men and women put their lives on the line to accomplish an awe-inspiring rescue. NOTRE DAME ON FIRE stars Samuel Labarthe, Jean-Paul Bordes, Mickaël Chirinian.

Jean-Jacques Annaud visited South Africa last November to present NOTRE DAME ON FIRE at the South African premiere which was hosted by Videovision Entertainment in partnership with The French Institute and the French Embassy.
