CapeGate Shopping Centre’s ‘Sip and Social’ 2024 is naturally a sweet deal for Women’s Day
Celebrating South Africa’s women with a morning of wine, wellness and wonder on Friday 9th August, CapeGate Shopping Centre will be hosting an empowering event that promises to be a sweet deal with a ‘sip and social’ get together that includes a fun-filled workshop, wine tasting, and the unifying spirit of inspired sisterhood that is shaping South Africa’s future.
The morning’s festivities will be launched by the superbly talented Donalee Roberts. The actor, writer, producer, filmmaker, wife and mother, will share her deeply motivating story, as well as tips on how to face life’s many challenges – with strength and grace.
Natural beauty – there’s a saying that a summer body is made in winter, so there’s no better time than now to prepare the skin for the sunny days ahead. Led by local soap artisan Delise Saunderson from Kiapanande, lucky workshops participants will create their own delicious body sugar-scrub to take home with them, along with valuable knowledge of how to recreate it.
When it comes to exploring the artistry of winemaking where the grape is the heroine, Capegate’s ‘Sip and Social’ has it covered with winemaker, John-Henry Pienaar from the 300-year-old multi-award-winning Meerendal estate. Wade will detail the estate’s history, its approach and the exciting developments currently underway. With newfound insights, ‘Sippers’ will also get to taste some of Meerendal’s palate pleasers, enhancing the overall experience.
