Cultures of China – Cape Town Dragon Boat Festival
This weekend we attended the Cultures of China – Cape Town Dragon Boat Festival held at Battery park, V & A Waterfront.
With the breathtaking scenery of Table Mountain, calm canals and busy Harbour, Battery park was transformed into a vibrant celebration of culture,sport and community for two days.
The highlight of the event was the remarkable Dragon boats as they padded in perfect sycronism, creating a powerful display of team work and determination.
For spectators, there was also the opportunity to experience Chibese culture with a weekend full of traditional performances, cultural displays, dances, music and an wide assortment of traditional Chibese foods.
The Cultures of China-Dragon Boat Festival is so much more than just an event, it is a beautiful example of how culture, sport and community can combine to create unforgettable moments.
