Last year I made a biltong cake for papa.
I was utterly amazed at how easy it was and how awesome it looked.
To make your own
You need enough dry wors to go around a small bowl ( i used our desert bowl) and an elastic to hold it all in place. I placed the bowl on a piece of card to form a base .
It helps to put the elastic around the bowl first and then feed the pieces of wors ( all cut at the same size) around the bowl, between elastic and bowl.
Remove the bowl very slowly whilst filling with biltong pieces at the same time.
Cover with a large piece of ribbon around to hide the elastic. I taped mine to join it.
Lift the card base and place large sheet of clear plastic underneath. Draw the plastic together . Tie with an elastic and cover elastic with a bow.
