I can’t resist a jalapeño Chilli.
They burn my mouth ferociously but I will suffer through because part of the reason i love them is how hot they are.
Needless to say a Chilli popper is my all time snack and Brent used to drive from Paarden Eiland to Blouberg to get me take away Chilli poppers for lunch and deliver them to Milnerton…( This may be why I married him )
I made my own version last night to go with my cheesy shrimp on savory rice by first frying some jalapeños in olive oil. Scraping out the pips and filling them with cambert spread from Pick n pay.
To make your own you will need :
Ingredients ( makes 6)
- 3 jalapeño Chillis
- Cambert spread or any cheese spread
- Parsley to garnish
- Olive oil
Method
Chop your jalapeño Chilli in half
Fry them in olive oil
Scoop out the seeds
Fill with cambert or a cheese spread
Garnish with parsley
