Logos Hope – the World’s largest floating book fair docked in Cape Town
The World’s largest floating bookfair, Logos Hope,has gently sailed into our Cape Town harbout and is currently docked at Jetty 2 at the V & A Waterfront.
You can take the family between 8 – 23 June to visit and purchase sone great books.
What is the Logos Hope ?
The Logos Hope’s main mission is to serve and currently travels worldwide docking at each port for approximately 2 weeks at a time, opening their gangway to hundreds of people each day. It is estimated that more than a million people visit Logos Hope each year.
The crew on board represent around 60 countries, bringing a true sense of international goodwill and understanding. All of the crew are unpaid volunteers, many serving in their professional capacity.
At each port, the crew join community projects and visit school, hospitals, orphanages, etc to share hope and show love.
Ehen visiting on board this unique ship, not only can you purchase books but the Visitor Experience Deck is also open for the public to explore; from the Welcome Area, which introduces the vessel through a short movie and interactive displays; to the International Café, which has ice cream, drinks and snacks for sale.
Logos Hope will open to the public at Jetty 2 at V & A Waterfront.

The floating bookfair offers over 5000 book titles, offering quality books at affordable prices to those who purchase.They cover a wide range of subjects including science, sports, hobbies, cookery, arts, medicine, languages and faith. With children’s titles, academic texts, dictionaries, atlases and more, the bookfair has something for everyone.
