During our stay in the Natal Midlands, we stayed at Pleasant Places guest house.
Upon arrival, I was blown away by the lush green scenery and the absolutely out of this world views.
Situated on Lidgeton Road in Lidgeton, this beautiful property is 17 km from the Boch hoek Golf Club and is central enough to sight see the beautiful array of activities that the midlands offer.
The guest house has a private entrance and offers a children’s playground, trail to the river, and beautiful terraces to enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee or take in the view.
Hamish absolutely loved the winding paths leading into green biggest and over hanging trees and I took every opportunity to photograph the lush Valley from the wooden decks.
The perfect place to enjoy nature, explore, and let the kids play.
The guest house is fully equipped with all modern needs, and there are wifi , fitted bathrooms, and coffee making facilities in all rooms.
There were warm blankets, linen, and towels supplied, and the little chocolates on our pillow each day added that sense of luxury to our time away.
We took rooms that had accompanying balconies, and the view was breathtaking.
The hosts are warm, welcoming and friendly, and accomadating. We honestly felt like we were right at home.
They certainly live up to their reputation for being a home away from home.
But
I didn’t just fall in love with the views, tranquility, and beauty of Pleasant places …I also fell in love with their food.
Zo the chef is remarkable, and I highly recommend just visiting for any one of his meals. His passion for cooking comes through in the love and precision of each plated meal.
Buffet and a la carte breakfast options are available each morning, and suppers can be arranged. There is a bar on site.
A place you should visit at least once.
