Quick and Easy Homemade Applesauce

Quick and easy applesauce
Have you many apples and need to use them up quickly ?
Why not make a quick applesauce that you can bottle to use later !
You will need:
Apples
Sugar
Lemon juice
Ginger or mint ( optional)
Instructions
To make your applesauce, first peel your applesauce and dice them.
Measure the apples into a pot using a cup.
For every cup of apples you used, add a cup of sugar.
Squeeze in about half a cup of lemon juice.
Fill the pot with water and boil on high until the apples are soft.
Once they are boiled, strain the apples.
Blend or mash until your sauce resembles pulp. I like a thicker consistency, so use a potato masher until my apples are smooth.
To prep your bottles to store the sauce
Wash the bottle well.
Place your bottles in a large pot of water and bring to a boil or place the glass bottles into a microwave on high for 2 – 3 minutes. This steralises the bottles from any germs.
Bottle and seal whilst the sauce is hot.
Options
You could add a half a cup of mint or ginger to your pot to add a different flavour.
These also make great gifts.
