I feel like I haven’t touched base over the last 2 weeks.
2 weeks ago I was admitted to hospital for a night to control a bit of clotting in my blood. I have a great medical team and happy to say I feel 1000 times better. That exhaustion I’ve been struggling with for months has gone …yay ! Now to catch up on my workload
I missed the #behindthescenes live that week because the meds I had made me so sleepy I couldn’t focus.
I did however join Cape Town Beach Cleanup for an awesome beach run ( which I walked) and managed 3km so yay me. If you don’t yet join a regular beach clean-up follow their page for the dates and get your family involved. If you want to join me and Hamish at one pop me a dm we would love to meet dome of you and share our passion for clean beaches with you.
The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxed and we hit the new week running. As one does.
Last week Friday I again missed the #behindthescene live as Hamish and I headed to the Superbook Mzansi First Christmas experience at V&A Waterfront
What a vibe! If you missed it look out towards the 24 December on www.superbookexperience.com and you can catch some awesome Superbook magic.
The V&A Waterfront is as always alive with creativity and fun. We especially love the #Joytotheworldfromafrica exhibits And I’m super excited to join their Summer competitions. Ps …I heard Santa will be at the waterfront soon.
Saturday we went to drop our Senior Santa shoe box off at Blue Route Mall I love this initiative because often our seniors are a forgotten sector in our community.
We also built a star with LEGO who are gifting Lego to kids in need, for every star built. see their page for more details and use the hashtag #BuildwithLEGO
Sunday we headed to watch the premiere of Clifford The Big Red Dog ….oh my word moms! You want to take the kids to see this. We were rolling on the floor with laughter. This feel-good action movie is released today in in cinemas.
Also released is Sing 2…I can’t wait to watch this and have a competition going live after lunch to win 1 of 2 hampers with UIP Africa . Watch this space.
I was super excited to have Fun mamma feature with WOOLWORTHS little world this month showcasing some of the crafts from Fun mamma – rainbow kids .
You can follow the group for fun crafts, recipes and homeschool ideas. Many of these items won’t feature on the blog.
This week we reviewed a wonderful hamper from TOWER products and Hamish and I will be using them this weekend to make some awesome Christmas crafts to gift family.
If you are looking to give back this Christmas I’d love for you to consider a donation towards Home of Hope This is an organisation close to our heart. They also have a great Christmas tree lighting and Santa visit if you are in Tableview.
Also if you haven’t shopped yet and are looking for gift ideas, my blog www.funmammasa.co.za has some great gift guides from :
