Coyote va ACME
This weekend we went to watch Coyote vs ACME at Ster-Kinekor in Bayside Mall.
I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this movie, which opened in cinemas on the 18 September 2026.
As a family we love going to the movies. The excitement of choosing a movie that we all agree on, the smell of the popcorn as we add our spices and the sound of the screen coming to life are all part of the experience and Fridays movie choice was a unanimous “Yes please”
Review
The Looney Tunes holds special mories for each of us. Brent and I having grown up watching The Road Runner and friends on a Saturday morning as we ate breakfast, and Hamish who loves discovering new Looney Tune characters.
I especially loved Wile E Coyote and his numerous, outrageous attempts to try catch the speedy, smart Road Runner bird.
From parachutes that don’t work to bombs exploding on him, there was never a dull moment as I sat in suspense hoping he wouldn’t finally catch the Road Runner. Wild laughter exploding as the bird mockingly called ” Beep! Beep!” before dashing off again.
This is what I was expecting as I stepped in to watch Coyote vs ACME and the film did not dissapoint.
It delivered the cartoon humour, suspense and adventure that I grew up watching, with true ACME chaos and Looney Tunes nostalgia ….. we absolutely loved it.
About the movie
The movie is a family friendly fusion of live action and animated comedy.
Directed by Dave Green the story follows Wile E. Coyote as he sues the Acme Corporation for decades of catastrophic product failures.
The Madness Unfolds:
The Lawsuit: Wile E. Coyote has finally had enough of exploding rockets, falling boulders, and gadgets gone wrong. He drags a mountain of defective Acme products into court as Exhibit A.
The Opposition: Avery’s intern Paige (Lana Condor) convinces him to take the case, pitting them against slick corporate lawyer Buddy Crane (John Cena).
The Conspiracy: Turns out Acme’s chaos runs deeper, a corporate plot that ropes in Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Tweety, and more beloved characters.
MR Coyote and his billboard legal team go up against the ACME corporation to uncover a huge corporate cover up.
