Children’s preferences have changed over the years to more digital play, rather than outdoor and
interactive games – where no toys were required (hide and seek, hopscotch, and riding a bike).

children. This is according to the findings of a consumer survey carried out by Game earlier in the
year.
Today digital devices are more popular than ever and most children are either playing with them or
owning them versus years ago when kids used to spend most of their time outside. Further, the past 18
months children and their parents have been mostly stuck inside, with little to no outside play. This
has not been ideal as spending time outside, taking part in creative play, and especially off of digital
devices are all very important for childhood development and to reach those developmental
milestones.
