And just like that the school holidays are almost over and we are two days away from Term 2. How has this year flown by so fast?
Even though our holiday was only a week long, it’s been a fun, short, busy holiday for us.
Heres what we got up to ….
Rock painting at Bayside Mall
Bayside Mall collaborated with Mini Makers and offered kids aged 4 and older the chance to create their own special decorated rocks.
Baking for Woolies on Expresso
Hamish joined hod favourite TV crew for a fun Woolworths segment learning to make cheesecake. It tasted delicious !
A visit to Imhoff Farm
We joined a friend and her family at Imhoff farm for a delicious celebratory birthday breakfast and catch up. The moms had a great chat whilst the kids ran about and discovered the space. They also visited the farm yard.
Bouncing the afternoon away at Rush Claremont
We popped into Rush Claremont and i got the worst photos as Hamish did not stand still once. If he wasnt bouncing on the giant trampolines he was diving into the foam pit.
Filming for Crazy Store & Expresso
Wednesday morning was filled with excitement as we headed to the Botanical Gardens in Claremont so Hamish could film a crazy store segment for Expresso eith all his favourite people. Such a fun morning as the kids rushed about hunting for Easter Eggs.
The Minecraft movie
We went to watch the Minecraft movie and loved it! Hamish is Minecraft obsessed so this was the perfect way to end a school holiday week.
Getting creative
We had a lot of time to bake and craft together. I ordered an Easter craft set from Mud Crate which has some fun crafts like making beeswax candles and painting wooden Easter bunnies. I also grabbed a paint your own plaster bunnies kit from crazy store and we painted candy eggs with food colouring. Chocolate cupcake are always a winner
We also bought Hamish his first real tool set and hid holiday project was to build a wooden robot. He did a great job.
And lastly we redecorated our classroom with a beautiful quick paint job from Granny B’s Old Fashioned Paint.
