The Minecraft Movie review

The Minecraft movie opened yesterday in cinemas and we went to Ster-Kinekor Theatres in Bayside Mall to watch it.

As a mom of a minecraft obsessed 8 year old I’m going to tell you this was the highlights his holidays.

All his favourite Minecraft characters came to life infront of him and he was totally invested in the movie.

Brent and I who understand nothing Minecraft, got a quick tutorial and now understand what each character is, the role it plays, etc

Jack Black and Jason Momoa are absolutely brilliant and the movie is action packed, full of comedy and odd bursts of song.

It’s quirky, and fun.

Kids who don’t play Minecraft may not fully understand or enjoy the movie and there are several fight scenes that could upset younger or sensitive viewers.

Hamish is 8 years old and I found the movie appropriate for him.
