Take a trip on the City Sightseeing Hop on Hop off bus
We recently spent the nicest Sunday afternoon, taking a trip on the City Sightseeing Hop on Hop off bus and had the best time discovering our city from the top of the large, open, double decker red bus.
The City Sightseeing bus offers a huge variety of different routes and we chose the blue route which takes you through Cape Town all the way to Hout bay with stops at some popular attractions like : Kirstenbosch and World of birds.
There are over 30 stops at regular intervals, making it possible for you to explore any of the over 50 different attractions which make Cape Town so exceptional. Hop on, or hop off wherever the mood takes you – and then take the next bus to continue your trip
When purchasing your tickets you are issued with a guidebook and map, earphones – to hear the multi language audio tour guide , and are advised to keep your tickets as you’ll need these for getting on and off the bus along your route.
The buses operate 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, regardless of the weather, and they offer WiFi along your trip.
We chose the top level as the view is amazing, especially as you find back along Camps Bay road back into Cape Town.
Cape Town winds can be quite cold, so it’s advisable to pack a light jacket if you are travelling in the open section of the bus.
Things to note
Check the City Sightseeing website often for discounts, family tickets, and special offers before booking your next trip.
