I love soft toys and as a young girl was spoilt rotten with toy boxes full to the brim of toys I doubt I even played with.
My older bears had every toy I could afford, inherited, found at thrift shops and made . You name the trend I needed to find it for them .
And the soft toys ? Well yes we had hundreds. All shapes, sizes and colours.
But bear has 3 soft toys …
💕His huge elephant from Rumpilstiltskin with his name on.
💕A Barney because…well …Barney !!!!!
💕And a red Liverpool memory bear from My Forever bears.
Over the last 2 years he has had the occasional favourite and as a newborn I bought several soft and fluffy teddies and animals for him to play with.
Truth is those toys littered and filled a huge tent and were mostly, with the exception of his Lily n Jack bunny and his Fischer Price Scout read with me dog, unplayed with.
At 18 months I had a massive toy purge and the soft and snugglies were the first to go.
As cute as they were they are also gathering dust. Dust that affected bears chest. And as we have a friendly neighbourhood cat I worried about fleas on the toys.
I spent more time cleaning the soft toys than bear did playing with them.
This brings me to a toy I bought for a birthday . The cutest yellow snuggle bunny. It was so soft with ombre tints of yellows that i couldn’t resist.
Well neither could bear and so he inherited a bunny. Mostly because he wouldn’t leave it alone and even uncharacteristically slept with the bunny.
This bunny was dragged to the table for meals, up and down stairs and even in the car.
That was on Friday last week …We are now on Tuesday .
The bunny has been abandoned and forgotten. Bear no longer cares to drag it around and it’s been unceremoniously shoved at the bottom of the bed in favour of his big elephant to sleep with.
I do not even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was good.
I don’t know who you are but certainly you’re going to a famous blogger if you are not already 😉 Cheers!
