City of Cape Town hosts free program for International Firefighters Day
Today, we commemorate the 25th anniversary of International Firefighters’ Day, a global tribute to the courage and dedication of firefighters worldwide.
You can take they family for a FREE event today at the Athlone Stadium from 09h30 – 16h00, proudly hosted by the City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services.
Some of the activities throughout the day include:
- Firefighter fitness challenge
- Vehicle rescue scenarios
- Hands-on drills with firefighters
- Static displays
- Childrens games (and some for the adults too)
- Photo opportunities in fire gear
- Delicious food and drink stalls
Join the fun and express your gratitude and support for these remarkable individuals who embody the spirit of heroism and risk their lives daily to keep us safe!
