Bath toys can literally be full of mould,bacteria and fungi.
All that liquid accumulating inside them is a breeding ground for germs who are living in the old water droplets.
The best way to clean your child’s bath toys is with heat and an anti-bacterial cleaner.
Prepare a bucket of either diluted white vinegar or 3% hydrogen peroxide to stop mould, bacteria and fungi from growing.
After soaking the toys in the solution for about 10 -20 minutes you can wash your toys in the dishwasher or the washing machine, inside a pillow case, on a warm-hot wash to clear out all those hard to reach spots.
Dry them in the sun for a few hours.
If you are still concerned , you could always use a glue gun to seal the bottoms.
