January was a slow month …it took a while for us to find our feet, but we had some amazing adventures.
We spent New years eve at Cape Town Stadium where Hamish got to be a mascot for DHL Stormers. We also let him stay up to watch the fireworks for the first time.

We started our first few days of the year on the beach with the announcement of my son, Byron’s, engagement.

We started school …Grade 1 this year ….another year of homeschooling and decided to supplement our curriculum with Caps kids

We had some fun adventures at all of our favourite places Bootleggers coffees, V and A waterfront, Two Oceans aquarium, Ons huisie, Cooked and Playdate super park.

Hamish went to make a gingerbread man at Willobridge centre and joined Teacher Susy at V and A watershed for some Experibuddie science fun.

Extra murals started and so it’s back to Scouts Meerkats and Rugbytots.

I enjoyed watching M3gan at the Labia and Babylon at SterKinekor thanks to UIP SA( Both are great movies
)

Rhodes Spoilt us with some back-to-school essentials and we spent quite a few afternoons on the beach, at the park or swimming.

Hamish can now ride his bike on his own and swim in the deep side of the pool.

On the blog side ….I was able to find my writing grove again and I’ve uploaded several great reads to my blog.
Thank you again to Feedspot for keeping us at #6 Best South African kids and parent blogs and websites to follow.
Intellifluence for awarding us as a trusted blogger and influencer
And Twinkl for adding us to their Best Family bloggers for 2023 and inviting us to become brand ambassadors
Hamish continues his ambassadorship for his favourite author Wildkids book sa
And January saw me resign as an ambassador for Cricut_sa as my schedule is just too busy this year to give dems. I still love the Cricut brand and you’ll still see many of my projects here.
And that was January in a nutshell…..
How was the start to your 2023? Has January been a good month so far?
