Nestled in the heritage market deep in the heart of Constantia, hidden within the miniature replica of an olden day Cape Dutch style building is Kristens kickass ice cream.
I was intrigued by the name from the minute I heard it and was eager to taste this home made ice cream that people were raving about.
On Wednesday we finally made our way to taste.
Upon entering the quaint little house like building you get the feel of grandma’s kitchen.
Bright flowers adorn the walls and friendly staff offer taste testing and amazing service.
We stood before the counter, like eager children trying to choose just one flavour to add to our sugar cones.
With 14 unique handmade flavours this task was not easy. Each one looks more delectable than the one before.
There are even options for vegans and those banting.
Finally I settled on the Oreo chocolate flavour … rich, creamy and likd a slice of chocolate heaven. My taste buds were in a world of their own.
