Movie Review – Imaginary Friends

This evening we visited The Labia Theatre for the media screening of Imaginary Friends hosted by UIP SA.

About the Labia Theatre

Situated in Orange Street, Cape Town CBD, I love the quaint ambiance of The Labia theatre and their yester-year decor. The theatre always offers a unique movie experience.

Many evenings we have arrived to red carpet treatment before being ushered to one of the luxurious theatres to enjoy our movie.

Tonight was no different as we entered the charming courtyard. Images of newly released movies decorate the walls of the outer building with plenty of table seating amidst the flowers, reminding you of a long gone bistro.

We quickly grabbed our popcorn and coldrinks and headed upstairs to find our seats.

Our reaction

Nothing speaks to my heart more than a feel good, family-friendly movie that encourages storytelling, kids being kids, and a healthy dose of good imagination

With many good laughs and a few tears,we thoroughly loved this movie.

A great reminder to always keep the magic of childhood alive!

The film is family friendly with no swearing or inappropriate scenes. Be cautioned that there is an element of sadness in a few scenes that highly sensitive children ( and this mamma) may let out few tears.

Hamish loved it, caught the jokes and laughed through most of the movie.

The characters are relatable and lots of fun.

So, book now and treat the family to a great evening of entertainment!
