Mother’s day at the Pink Piano

Have you ever had a pink cappuccino?

If you know me, youll know how much I love the colour pink and I simply couldn’t resist trying one on Mother’s day, when my daughters treated me to breakfast at The Pink Piano in Tablebay Mall. I was not disappointed at all.

It’s a regular cappuccino that has pink froth with a little edible glitter but in my creative heart, it was a creation straight out of Willy Wonkers Wonderland specifically designed for me.

These coffees are regular orders on their menu,  along with a few other cute pink drinks.

My girls tried the pink latte and the pink cappuccino in the clouds which is served with candy floss and marshmallows!

Does life get any better?

The food

Trying to choose off the mouthwatering menu was properly the most difficult as everything sounded wonderful.  However, I don’t normally eat so early, so just chose a light meal, the bacon and halloumi bites…..

The girls chose a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich served with a side of chips

and the kids portion of chicken nuggets, also served with a side portion of chips. ( I did notice that the chips were perfectly cooked with no dripping oil oozing out all over the plate)

Overall, the food at was absolutely delicious.

Beautifully presented on the most gorgeous pink hued plates, the portions generous and reasonably priced.

They also serve a scrumptious selection of cakes and sweet treats.

Decor

It was, however, the decor that impressed me the most at The Pink Piano !

I absolutely love the colour pink, and this aesthetically calming space is tastefully decorated with gorgeous murals, creative decor, and soft contrasting seats, making it a little sanctuary of happiness to enjoy your coffee and cake or a some time out with the girls.

The seating is comfortable and whilst the decor has a lot of creative quirks and things to see, it has been tastefully arranged to compliment and not clutter the small space.

The pink painted piano is the main feature and from the minute you enter the room, it attracts your attention.

Every inch of The Pink Piano speaks to my boho loving, creative, gypsy soul. It reminds me of childhood tea parties, many hours of trying to learn to play the piano, of green gardens and the hours I spent in art classes creating what I hoped was a pretty painting.

(Oh and I’ve noticed they also host paint & sip evening -we all know i’m ready to book that!)

It also reminds me of the gentleness that us mothers bring to our homes, of the little bits of pretty we add to spaces and most importantly of the the importance of moms needing her time out- whether that be sipping pink coffees in a pretty coffee shop, doing some retail therapy, creating something or just relaxing reading a book and listening to some music.

Grab a selfie

To make your experience at The Pink Piano even more unforgettable there are also great photo ops to grab those selfie for the gram.

Get your selfie with some pretty flowers on the wall, near the piano or at a booth with beautiful window murals behind you, your Insta feed will pop with pink.

I loved the pastel painted wings the most.

So, if you haven’t visited The Pink Piano yet ….treat yourself! You’ll thank me later.
