Swartland Tourism Showcase
Last Friday, I headed to the Media 24 building to await the shuttle bus that would take a group of Media and tour operators to !khwa ttu for the inaugural Swartland Tourism Showcase …..an introduction to a selection of some of the most iconic and unique tourism offerings in the Swartland District.
Hosted by Swartland Tourism and Wesgro we spent the day networking between well established and trusted businesses and enjoying the warm hospitality that the Swartland is renound for.
But first coffee ….
Before boarding the bus, we were treated to a delicious cup of coffee from Monarch Coffee Cartel ….I’m a new fan! What amazing service and energy. The coffee is great too.
After a warm cuppichino and meeting a few of my fellow travellers for the day, it was time to board the bus and enjoy the trip.
Welcome
Upon reaching our destination, we quickly disembarked the bus and headed for the warmth of a warm cup of coffee or tea and fresh muffins.
Not long after our arrival welcome speeches were made and we were given the days intinary.
!khwa ttu
The event was hosted by !Khwa ttu San cultural villiage which is situated along South Africa’s picturesque West Coast.
!Khwa ttu offers more than just a place to rest, it’s a unique experience that nourishes the soul and a place where culture, nature, and comfort intertwine.
As part of our visit media were offered a guided tour to discover the museum centres and the gorgeous accomadation that !Khwa ttu offers.

All too soon it was time for lunch, and we gathered to taste the delicious finger foods. So many delicious morsels it was hard to choose my favourite.
Later we enjoyed a wine tasting with Roosterkoek just before we boarded the bus to head back to Cape Town.
What a wonderful day, with amazing people, great businesses, and welcoming hospitality.
With such a successful first Showcase, I am sure we will see many more Tourism showcases from the Swartland.
